At its April 18 meeting members of the Brown County Chamber of Commerce met at the Brown County Christian Academy in Sardinia. The Academy co-hosted the meeting with Peoples Bank.
Trent Ogden spoke briefly representing the Christian Academy and representative Tosha Leimberger spoke on behalf of Peoples Bank.
After calling the meeting to order, president of the chamber Darrin Schneider asked for reports from committee heads including Brown County Commissioner Barry Woodruff who spoke briefly about economic development. Lynn Harden reported on marketing and Brian Faught, vice president of the chamber spoke to members regarding travel and tourism.

Schneider talked about the upcoming June 7 Brown County Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing sponsored by Rumpke, hosted by the Friendly Meadows Golf Course.
The cost for the big event is $400 per foursome and $25 per non-golfer. Entry and payment deadline for the event is June 1. All teams registered by May 15 will be entered into a drawing to win $100.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and will include green fees and a cart, breakfast, hot dog and chips at turn, goodie bags, raffle prizes, silent auctions cash prizes, dinner and of course cash games. Non-golfers cost excludes green fee and cart.
The fun golf ball drop will be $5 per ball, the ball landing nearest to the pin wins 50/50 cash. The drop will take place at the Chamber Golf Outing, but no need to be present to win.
Full prize money will be awarded with 25 teams. Prize money will be prorated if less than 25 teams, no personal coolers are permitted.
