Jared Kyle Cornett, age 50, of Hamersville, Ohio passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at the Anderson Mercy Hospital in Anderson Township, Ohio surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Colon Cancer. He was the owner and operator of the Pride Hill Farm and Garden Center in Hamersville, Ohio, the Clark Township Fiscal Officer, a member of the Georgetown Church of Christ in Georgetown, Ohio and the Bethel Masonic Lodge F&AM #61 in Bethel, Ohio and an avid sports fan. Jared had a smile that would light up a room and was definitely “one of a kind” that lived life to the fullest, loved making people laugh and was always there to lend a helping hand. He was born March 19, 1974 in Georgetown, Ohio the son of Patricia S. (Lindsey) Cornett of Hamersville, Ohio and the late Kirby L. Cornett. Besides his father in 2018, Jared was preceded in death by his grandparents – Elmer and Lula Mae (Coldiron) Cornett and Gerald and Helen (Stires) Lindsey.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Cornett is survived by his loving wife Shelly (Stemmerding) Cornett whom he married October 21, 2017; four children – Karley Aubry and husband Timothy of Fayetteville, Ohio, Bryar Cornett and fiancé Maycee Dunn of Sardinia, Ohio, Cade Chisman and Ashlee Minnix of Hamersville, Ohio and Zackery Chisman of Hamersville, Ohio; one grandson – Jackson Joseph Aubry; two sisters – Kristi Smith and husband Craig of Bethel, Ohio and Missy Dotson and fiancé Michael Linnick of Anderson, South Carolina; six nieces and nephews – Kaytlyn, Elizabeth, Hannah and Kain Carter and Cole and Chase Dotson; mother-in-law- Deborah Rembis of Mt.Orab, Ohio; one brother-in-law – Erich Stemmerding and wife Joanna of San Antonio, Texas; his fur baby and sidekick – Fannie Cornett and many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Georgetown Church of Christ, 149 Hamer Road, Georgetown, Ohio. Scott Hennig and Jason Galley will officiate. Visitation will be form 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 6, 2024 at the church. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Cornett Strong Memorial Fund c/o Peoples Bank. This fund will be used to give back to the community in Jared’s memory.
