Janet Adalene Preston, age 88, of Mt.Orab, Ohio died Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Locust Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Mt.Orab, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Janet was born April 9, 1935 in Williamsburg, Ohio the daughter of the late Edward and Alma (Grimmelsman) Kees. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband – George Preston, Sr. in 1980, one infant daughter – Angel Preston, one great grandson – Merrick Alredge and four brothers – Leonard, Albert, Richard and George Kees.
Mrs. Preston is survived by three children – George Preston, Jr. and wife Cindy of Goshen, Ohio, Adalene Boyd and husband Mike of Lithia, Florida and Paul Preston of Buford, Ohio; nine grandchildren – Micah, Danielle and Katie Preston, Ashley Carlin and husband Eric, Joey Boyd, Brandy Jones, Rob Preston and wife Melissa and Kandy and Sandy Preston; sixteen great grandchildren – Liam, Zoey, Elijah, Ethan, Grace, Sheldon, Mackenzy, Calvyn, Jayden, Koltyn, J.T., Chuckie, Keegan. Will, Izzy and Evie; two sisters – Dorothy Boyd of Mason, Ohio and Margaret Schuster of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt.Orab, Ohio. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in the Confidence Cemetery in Georgetown, Ohio.
