Recording a hat trick in high school soccer is quite an accomplishment, but it does happen quite often in local sports. To record a hat trick plus two in a conference victory, now that’s taking an individual soccer performance to another level.
Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington junior Grace Taylor was “in the zone” as the Lady Jays hosted the Peebles Lady Indians on Aug. 29, scoring five goals to lead her team to an 8-0 win.
Ripley sophomore Kinzy Muse recorded two goals in the win, and freshman Alyssa Fisher contributed with one goal.

The Lady Jays were even at 3-3 on the season after dominating for the victory over Peebles on Aug. 29.
As of Sept. 4, Taylor was third in the SHAC for goals scored this season with 11 in six matches.
The Lady Jays were scheduled to host Mason County on Sept. 5, and they will be at Eastern for an SHAC match on Monday, Sept. 11.
