Honor Flight Tri-State offers a program, call the “Flightless Honor Flight” for veterans who are wheelchair bound or who can no longer fly due to health reasons, and on Saturday, Aug. 19 Honor Flight Tri-State hosted a “Flightless Honor Flight” for residents of the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown.
One of the highlights of the program was the Welcome Home Parade held at the end of the program. Lines of people gathered outside of the veterans home as veterans paraded between them, a way for revelers who are family members, local organizations, school children, scout groups, police, first responders, and many more to pay recognition to the veterans for their service in the United States Military.
