Nancy Jo Cooper, age 77, of Mt.Orab, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, Ohio. She was a retired data entry and clerk for National Bank and Trust and a member of the Hamersville Church of Christ. Nancy was born June 4, 1945 in Tollesboro, Kentucky the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Ellen (Robinson) Newsome. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter – Miranda Cracraft in 2018 and one brother – Wendell Newsome in 2023.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by her husband Roy Cooper; three daughters – Angela Brown and husband Dennis of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Rebecca Smith of Mason, Ohio and Christina Dericks and husband Michael of Fayetteville, Ohio; nine grandchildren – Adam Brown of Mason, Ohio, Samantha Brown of Mt. Orab, Ohio, Haley Brown of Hamilton, Ohio, Michael Cook and wife Cassie of Loveland, Ohio, Ashley Smith of Mason, Ohio and Alexis, Mykaela, Alyssa and Dakota Dericks all of Fayetteville, Ohio; two great grandchildren and two brothers – Randy Newsome of Sardinia, Ohio and Richard Newsome and wife Amy of Loveland, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at the Cahall Funeral Home in Mt. Orab, Ohio. David Henning will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories in Maysville, Kentucky.
