The Western Brown Youth Football Camps got underway at Western Brown High School on Monday, July 9. The first day of camp saw a large group of campers ranging from grades kindergarten through fourth coming to LaRosa’s Field on the Western Brown campus to improve on their gridiron skills. Day two of the camp (July 10) was for campers in grades fifth and sixth, and the final day of camp on July 11 was for seventh and eighth graders. The camp focused on the fundamentals of football, including running, passing, catching, blocking, tackling, and fielding. Providing instruction for the camp was Western Brown High School head football coach Tyler Evans and his coaching staff, as well as members of the WBHS varsity and junior varsity football teams. The camp, hosted by the Western Brown Touchdown Club, was free of charge.
