Harold B Schumacher

Harold B. Schumacher, age 95 of Ripley, Ohio, died Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio.  He was a United States Army WWII Veteran, a lifelong farmer and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley.  Mr. Schumacher was born October 31, 1922 near Ripley, Ohio the son of the late Christian and Henrietta (Knoche) Schumacher.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years – J. Theresa (Cropper) Schumacher; one daughter – Gina Stopa; one sister – Florence Kirschner; three brothers – Albert, William Herbert and Charles Schumacher.
Mr. Schumacher is survived by two daughters – Terri Schumacher and Kristi Parish (Todd), both of Cincinnati, Ohio; two sons – Gerry Schumacher (Yvonne) of Maysville, Kentucky and Greg Schumacher (Trisha) of West Union, Ohio; a son-in-law – Lou Stopa of New Orleans, Louisiana; four grandchildren – Erik Stopa, Jason Stopa, Craig Stopa and Laura Schumacher Blum; one step-grandchild – Paul Hannah III; four great grandchildren – Jackson Stopa, Dominick Stopa, Dillon Stopa and Easton Stopa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev. Dohrman Byers will be the Celebrant.  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley.  Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley, Ohio with military honors provided by the Courts-Fussnecker American Legion Post 367 of Ripley.
