A Ripley man is facing multiple felonies after being charged with unlawful sexual conduct with two children.
Daniel Fite is accused of a total of eight counts of Rape, all first degree felonies; two counts of Felonious Assault, both second degree felonies; two counts of Endangering Children, both third degree felonies; and two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, both third degree felonies.
The conduct allegedly occurred over a two year period.
“This was not a one time incident. This was a course of conduct involving sexual abuse of two minors that was occurring over a lengthly period of time,” said Brown County Prosecuting Attorney Zac Corbin.
“One of the children disclosed to a family member and that family member got word to the mother, who immediately contacted law enforcement.”
Corbin said that Fite is facing life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted. He remains in the Brown County Jail on $500,000 bond.
