Jeanette Spiller, age 93 of Ripley, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley.  She was born June 17, 1924 in Georgetown, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Alma (Klump) Spiller.  Ms. Spiller was also preceded in death by one brother – Charles Spiller and her cousin, companion and life-long friend – Mary Edith Koewler.
Ms. Spiller was a life-long resident of Ripley and member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society.  She also enjoyed being a member of the Ladies Red Hat Society.  She graduated from St. Michael’s School in 1940 and began her career working at the Ripley Shoe Factory in 1941.  From 1944 to 1948 she worked for Roth, Raugh and Heckel, Inc. in Ripley and from 1948 through mid-1972 for Dr. L.C. Franz.  In 1972, Jeanette joined State National Bank and was named auditor and compliance officer in December of 1978.  She retired from the bank April 29, 1994.
Ms. Spiller is survived by five brothers – Jim Spiller, Fred Spiller, John (Lee) Spiller, Paul (Judy) Spiller, all of Bethel, Ohio, Robert Spiller of Ripley, Ohio; two sisters – Dorothy Ernst of Sardinia, Ohio and Charlotte (Chuck) Thompson of Hamersville, Ohio.  She is also survived by twenty-five nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev, Dohrman Byers  will be the Celebrant.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
