By Martha B. Jacob –

Members of the Brown County Chamber of Commerce held yet another ribbon cutting ceremony on March 3, recognizing the grand opening of  a new Cricket Wireless  at 149 Northpointe Drive in Mt. Orab.
The new Cricket is the third store which is part of Tri-State Simply Wireless owned by Rhonda Estep who is from the Blanchester area.  She owns a Cricket store in Milford as well as one in Loveland. The Mt. Orab store will be managed by Jamie Morris from Williamsburg.
“Cricket is owned by AT&T now, it’s their pre-paid division, they bought Cricket a couple years ago, but Cricket Wireless has been around for about 12 years,” Estep said. “My sister Jamie will manage this store here in Mt. Orab and she brings a lot of experience with her. She’ll  also have a part-time employee, Nohl Behler, who is from the Mt. Orab area.
“We are so excited to be here in Mt. Orab. We’ve been open for a couple weeks now and we just can’t believe how nice and how friendly the people here are.  We’ve had a lot of people just stop by and say hello and welcome us to Mt. Orab.”
Estep said that Cricket is very popular right now because it offers low costs service yet is a high end carrier. Families can have 5 phones for only $100 a month which Estep says is very good for large families and no other service can compete.
“Cricket offers great family plans, and lots and lots of discounts are always available, such as a $5 savings when the person uses auto pay,” Estep said. “We offer family plan discounts, up to $40 per line off. Our service and are price make all the difference to anyone looking for a great deal. We offer internet, cellular, Direct TV, DEEZER Music, Nationwide coverage, unlimited talk and text, and unlimited data.”
According to  Estep, the Mt. Orab store will carry a good variety of phones to choose from and service to the phones are offered through the 1-800 Warranty Center. The Cricket Wireless employees will help their customers with any issue.
The Cricket will carry I-Phones, Androids, Window Phones and Smart Phones, beautiful cases, screen protectors and chargers.
“This is a family owned business and we are so happy to be here,” she said, “and we will be offering excellent personal service to our customers.  We’d like to invite everyone in to say hi and let us tell you about our great programs.”
