The Courthouse Square Association, Inc. sponsored its annual Woodworker/Woodcarver Day on Saturday, July 30 and once again talented woodworkers came out of the woodwork … so to speak…for this event.
“This was our seventh year for this show and it just gets bigger every year,” said Carol Myers, member of the Courthouse Square Association. “We had a nice number of visitors and everyone seemed to enjoy the show, especially the vendors.”
Crafters were set up on the courthouse lawn from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“Some of tahe crafters were giving demonstrations on how they made some of their wares,” Myers said. “Many of the items were purchased while others were just admired.”
Myers said she appreciates all the vendors for sharing their talents with the public.
The Courthouse Square Association also sponsors other events including an upcoming concert by Jack Garrett & The Syndicate Orchestra, scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 18 in front of the courthouse.
Another free movie has also been set for Aug. 19 beginning at 9:30 p.m.
