BC Democrats to meet and recommend elector

The Brown County Democratic Executive and Central Committee will hold each meeting for the purpose of selecting and recommending one of their electors to serve as a board member to the Board of Elections for a three-year term, commencing March 1.

BC Tea Party sheriffs candidates Q and A

The Brown County Tea Party is hosting a sheriff candidates Q and A at the library in Mt. Orab 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16. The Public Library is located 613 South High Street in Mt. Orab.

AB Recycling holiday hours

Adams Brown Recycling will be closed Monday, Jan. 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The facility will reopen with regular hours from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19.

RULH BOE meeting

Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Board of Education will hold a regular meeting 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the high school lecture hall.

BCPL Board to hold meeting

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Brown County Public Library will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, in the meeting room of the Mary P. Shelton Library, located 200 W. Grant, in Georgetown, for the purpose of conducting any business that may come before the Board at that time.

BCBDD board to meet

The Brown County Board of Developmental Disabilities will hold their regular scheduled meeting 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20 at the Brown County Board of DD Center, located 325 West State Street, Building A, Suite 2, in Georgetown. Meetings are open to the public.

SOESC meeting to be held

The Southern Ohio Educational Service Center Governing Board will have its organizational meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Southern Ohio Educational Service Center, located 3321 Airborne Road, in Wilmington.

BC Historical Society meeting to take place

The January meeting of the Brown County Historical Society will be held at the Southern Hills Career and Technical Center at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28. The meeting is our organizational and program planning meeting. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.

Notice: February meeting of the Brown County Historical Society will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18 not Feb. 25 as previously scheduled. The meeting will be at the Southern Hills Career and Technical Center. The topic will be “A Panel on Nursing”

Coalition meeting set

The Coalition for a Drug Free Brown County meets the first Monday of the month. Meetings are held at the Educational Service Center, located on Hamer Road. The next meeting will be 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1.
