GEORGETOWN — The Brown County Grand Jury met recently and handed down indictments to 20 individuals, including Brandon Lang, Christina Nichole Stacy, Samuel Stacy and Kenneth James Lunsford.
The quartet has been charged with a combined 62 counts of burglary, theft, forgery, and receiving stolen property, among others. Lang was charged with 32 counts, Christina Stacy was charged with 21 counts, Samuel Stacy was charged with 12 counts, and Lunsford was charged with seven counts.
The investigation into the individuals was conducted by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office with help from the Ripley Police Department.
According to the BCSO and the bill of indictment from the Brown County Common Pleas Court, they allegedly stole money and property from numerous people to support their alleged drug habits.
As of press time, Lang, Lunsford, and Christina Stacy were behind bars at the Brown County Adult Detention Center. Samuel Stacy is still at-large, according to the BCSO.
If convicted on all counts, Lang faces up to 70 years in prison, Christina Stacy faces up to 59 years and six months in prison, Samuel Stacy faces up to 40 years in prison, and Lunsford faces up to 28 years in prison, according to Ohio Revised Code statutes.
In a separate case, Gregory Lynn Kattine was indicted by the grand jury with one count of aggravated burglary in the first degree and one count of felonious assault in the second degree.
In Georgetown, on July 15, Kattine was arrested after allegedly assaulting an individual. According to court documents, Kattine was allegedly found intoxicated at the Eastland Mobile Home Park in Georgetown after getting into an altercation.
The court documents state Kattine allegedly kicked in the front door of a mobile home and began fighting with the alleged victim. The court documents cite witnesses stating they saw Kattine kicking the victim in the ribs and grabbing the victim’s hair.
One of the witnesses then, according to the documents, was able to break up the fight and hold Kattine down until the Georgetown Police Department arrived.
Kattine was transported to and remains incarcerated at the Brown County Adult Detention Center. The victim was transported to Mt. Orab Mercy Hospital for her reported injuries.
Also indicted were:
Timothy E. Argenbright, 31, of Felicity, on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of possessing drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor.
James F. Bragg, 35, of Williamsburg, on two counts of trafficking in heroin, both fifth-degree felonies.
David S. Carpenter, 52, of Goshen, on one count of burglary, a second-degree felony, and one count of petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor.
James Coomer, 25, of Mt. Orab, on two counts of trafficking in heroin, both fifth-degree felonies. There was also specifications for forfeiture of an automobile in a drug case on both counts.
Randy Scott Gilliam, 24, of Cincinnati, on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of forgery, a fifth-degree felony.
Joyce Gustin, 32, of Cincinnati, on one count of trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of possessing drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.
Dee Lyn Hall, 43, of Williamsburg, on three counts of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, a drug of abuse, or a combination of them, all fourth-degree felonies. The three counts also include the specification for forfeiture of vehicle, forfeiting a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze.
Jeremiah J. Hall, 29, of Cincinnati, on one count of trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of possessing drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Shannon W. Hamilton 33, of Maysville, Ky., on one count of vehicular assault, a third-degree felony.
Rachen E. Haney, 27, of Felicity, on one count of possession of heroin, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of possessing drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Michael Hopkins, 29, of Goshen, on one count of trafficking in drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and one count of possessing drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Jerry T. Morgan, 37, of Hamilton, on one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony.
Cathy L. Test, 60, of Mt. Orab, on one count of trafficking in marijuana, a fourth-degree felony, and one count of trafficking in marijuana, a fifth-degree felony. Both counts come with the specification for forfeiture of money in a drug case, worth $591, and specification for forfeiture of property.
Paul H. Test, 58, of Mt. Orab, on one count of permitting drug abuse, a fifth-degree felony. The count comes with the specification for forfeiture of money in a drug case, worth $591, and specification for forfeiture of property.
Anthony Brian Tully, 32, of Bethel, on one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony.
