SSCC Trustees cancel special meeting for Oct. 23

Dairy MPP presented to local farmers

The Ohio State University Extension Office of Adams County and the Farm Service Agency teamed up to present the new Dairy Margin Protection Program to area dairy farmers at the West Union Frisch’s Big Boy on Thursday, Oct. 16.The MPP is part of the new farm bill passed by the U.S. Congress, as the old farm bill originally passed in 2008 ended and did not receive an extension, after receiving an extension in 2013. MPP replaces the Milk Income Loss Contract or MILC Program.
