Lawanda R Truesdell

Lawanda Rose Truesdell, age 80 of Ripley, Ohio, died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Ohio Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center near Ripley.  She worked twenty-four years at the former U.S. Shoe Factory in Ripley and ten years at the former Technotrim in Maysville, Kentucky, before retiring.  Ms. Truesdell was born November 28, 1936 in Ripley, Ohio the daughter of the late Howard Lee and Edna Evelyn (Eckler) Laypool.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters – Emma Jean “Chick” Fultz and Dixie Ormes; two brothers – Howard “Dutch” Laypool, Jr. and Charles Lee Laypool.
Ms. Truesdell is survived by one daughter – Debbie McAfee (John) of Ripley, Ohio; two grandchildren – Amy Newton (Dale) of Beavercreek, Ohio and Justin McAfee (Morgan Border) of Ripley, Ohio; one great grandchild – Samantha McAfee; one sister – Frances Poole of Ripley, Ohio; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Cahall Funeral Home in Ripley, Ohio.  Rev. Clark Castle will officiate.  Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Maplewood Cemetery in Ripley.
