The Southern Hills Athletic Conference Winter Sports Awards Banquet is set to take place March 12 at North Adams High School.
Receiving awards are members of this year’s SHAC All-Conference boys and girls basketball teams.
In SHAC high school boys action, it was the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs capturing the SHAC Division I title with a conference record of 11-2.
The Peebles Indians finished runner-up in SHAC Division I with a 10-3 conference record, and the Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays finished third in league play with a conference record of 7-6.
The Fairfield Lions won the SHAC small school division with a conference record of 10-3.
Earning spots on this year’s All-SHAC Team for boys basketball were:  Tanner Arey (Peebles), Max Lanham (Fayetteville), Kaulen Cox (Manchester), Eric Mclaughlin (Lynchburg-Clay), Jensen Daulton (Fairfield), Garyn Purdy (Eastern), Patrick England (North Adams    ), Blake Rigdon (Eastern), Wyatt Evans (Fairfield), Jaki Royal (Ripley), Cameron Gordley (Peebles), Colton Thornburg (Manchester), Joe Giordano (Lynchburg-Clay), Trever Yeager (Whiteoak), and Craig Horton (West Union).
In high school girls action, it was the Eastern Lady Warriors winning the SHAC Gold Ball by capturing the SHAC Division I title with a perfect conference record of 13-0.
The North Adams Lady Green Devils won the SHAC small school division with a conference record of 11-2.
Earning spots on the All-SHAC Team in high school girls basketball were:  Hannah Binkley (Lynchburg-Clay), Lakyn Hupp (North Adams), Mikayla Binkley (Lynchburg-Clay), Cecilia Murphy (Fayetteville), Whitney Broughton (Eastern), Alexa Pennington (Eastern), Maggie Carr (Whiteoak), Mckinlee Ryan (Peebles), Allison Day (Eastern), Grace Shope (Fairfield), Mikayla Farris (Eastern), Peyton Scott (Lynchburg-Clay), Kacy Gilkerson (Ripley), Jessica Sowards (Peebles), and Avery Harper (North Adams).

Eastern’s Kevin Pickerill has been named the SHAC Girls Basketball Coach of the Year.
