‘Christmas Extravaganza’ at Gaslight

By Martha Jacob –

It was a big show last Saturday night, Dec. 10, at the Gaslight Theatre in Georgetown as the 2016 BigEasy’s Christmas Extravaganza entertained its audience with a night full of  beloved traditions.
The Gaslight Theatre was beautifully decorated as entertainers took to the stage one by one, bringing to life the show “A Hard Candy Christmas” featuring performances by many local artists that have performed in the annual Christmas Extravaganza in past years.
Each year the Extravaganza raises money through ticket sales and donations for a different charitable organization and this year was no different.
“Proceeds from this even, including proceeds from the concession stand will go to the Brown County H.E.R.O. Tribute project,” said Eric ‘Big Easy’ Penn with Big Easy and the Gators, “It is a fun show for everyone and I am happy to be a part of this event and even happier to raise money for such a good cause as helping to bring the Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall to Brown County next year.”
Entertainers for the event included Lynnette Bohman, Emily Hardy, Tim Caudill, Glenn Miller, Caleb Penn, Jake Dyer, Olivia Hardy, Kate Alexander, Christina Schnetzer, Emma Den Hollander, Gwen Courts, Wayne Prescott, Ellen Mershon, Roger Courts, professionals from the Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Cincinnati, and of course BigEasy and the Gators.
The show was full of talent and fun, and the kids in the audience laughed and sang along with performers throughout the evening.
