MOUNT ORAB — Western Brown’s Shawn Hull was one of several Bronco tennis players in action last weekend at the Tom Ball Invitational. Hall finished runner-up in the first singles event, but the Broncos swept the other four titles in the tournament. ­­­

Hull’s teammate Colston Roades won the number two singles title with a 6-3, 6-3 win. A doubles paring of Carson Eyre and Wesley O’Hara also won a title.

The team returned to the court on Monday against the Bethel-Tate Tigers. Noah Hiler picked up the Broncos’ first win, taking a 6-4, 6-2 victory. Roades then won a 7-4, 6-4 match for the team’s second point before Hull sealed a marathon 6-4. 4-6. 10-5 win.

In doubles action, Eyre and Clayton Wolf won their match 6-0, 6-0 while the Broncos won the remaining doubles match 6-2, 6-1.

The team’s next scheduled match is Thursday, April 21 at Goshen.
