Snow forces schedule changes

Winter weather moved through the area again earlier this week and it shifted a few basketball games around with it.

The Western Brown Broncos were originally scheduled to travel to McNicholas High School on Tuesday, Feb. 9, but that game was postponed to Feb. 10 instead. Western Brown would fall to McNick 74-50.

Eastern was scheduled to pay a visit to the Hillsboro Indians that same night, but weather forced that game to be postponed as well. The game will now be played on Saturday, Feb. 13 with the freshman game beginning at 10 a.m.

Two other games scheduled for the 9th were moved to early next week. Ripley was scheduled to host Peebles on Senior Night on Tuesday. That game will now be played on Monday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Bethel-Tate’s senior night bout against the Georgetown G-Men was also moved to early next week. The G-Men and the Tigers will now face off on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 7:30 p.m. Bethel-Tate was already scheduled to face the Fayetteville Rockets that night, but that game was cancelled and won’t be made up.
