An alleged burglary ring that is wanted for crimes in Brown County, Clermont County, and Indian Hill is facing a combined 33 charges from the Brown County Court of Common Pleas.

The Brown County Grand Jury met recently and handed down indictments to 11 individuals, including Jeffrey Lindsey and Laura Miller.

According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, Lindsey and Miller worked in conjunction to allegedly execute a number of burglaries and thefts in Brown County, Clermont County, and both Terrace Park and Indian Hill, in Hamilton County.

Lindsey, 29, and Miller, 30, were both caught in the act on July 31, at a property in Pike Township. Lindsey had attempted to steal a DeWalt saw from a home on the property, but the homeowner returned home during the theft, according to a probable cause affidavit filed with the Brown County Municipal Court. A deputy from the BCSO was dispatched to the home and when the deputy arrived on the scene, the deputy was able to learn through an interview with Lindsey that he had attempted to steal the saw.

Upon further investigation, according to the BCSO, and in conjunction with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office and the Indian Hill Police Department, the BCSO learned that Lindsey and Miller were allegedly responsible for a number of crimes.

“We for sure have them on four burglaries in Brown County, upwards of 15-18 in Clermont County, two to three in Indian Hill, one in Terrace Park,” BCSO Detective Chad Noble told The News Democrat. “One of the homes in Indian Hill had $108,000 of jewelry stolen.”

The BCSO believes the value of all of the items stolen adds up to more than $150,000. Noble said that a majority of what was stolen was jewelry. Noble also said the signs point to Lindsey and Miller committing the burglaries to fuel their drug addiction, though they don’t have firm evidence of that.

Lindsey is facing 17 charges from the court of common pleas, including; one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony, four counts of burglary, a second-degree felony, one count of grand theft when the property is a firearm or a dangerous ordnance, a third-degree felony, one count of having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony, one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony, two counts of petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and seven counts of endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Similarly, Miller is facing 16 charges from the court of common pleas, including; one count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, a first-degree felony, four counts of burglary, a second-degree felony, one count of grand theft when the property is a firearm or a dangerous ordnance, a third-degree felony, one count of theft, a fifth-degree felony, two counts of petty theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, and seven counts of endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor.

Both Lindsey and Miller are currently held at the Brown County Adult Detention Center, according to the BCSO. Lindsey is being held on $100,000 bond, and Miller is being held on $50,000 bond, according to a BCSO press release.

If convicted on all of their charges, Lindsey faces up to 58 years in the Ohio Department of Corrections, while Miller faces up to 53 years in prison.

Noble confirmed that after going through the court system in Brown County, the pair face multiple charges in both Clermont County and Hamilton County
