A Lynchburg woman was recently indicted in Brown County on multiple drug-related felony charges.

Brown County Common Pleas Court records show that a grand jury indicted Lisa A. Davis, 37, Lynchburg earlier this month.

According to records, she was indicted on one count of fifth-degree felony possession of heroin, two counts of fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs, five counts of fifth-degree felony possession of drugs and one count of first-degree misdemeanor possession of drug abuse instruments.

Records do not indicate when Davis is next scheduled to appear in court.

Highland County Common Pleas Court records show that she was previously convicted in 2009 of third-degree felony illegal conveyance of prohibited items onto the grounds of a detention facility or institution.

In that case, she was originally indicted on that charge as well as third-degree felony possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, fifth-degree felony possession of methamphetamine, and fifth-degree felony possession of criminal tools. The latter charges were ultimately dismissed, records add.

Records show that she was sentenced to three years in prison. In 2011, the “court vacate(d) (the) previous sentence of three years,” and Davis was resentenced to one year in the Ohio Reformatory of Women, according to records.

Davis was later granted judicial release in September of that year after she was first denied it in May.

In 2013, the judicial release was revoked, and Davis was ordered to serve the remaining balance of her sentence.
