Hamersville Livestock 4H club members held their eighth meeting at the Hamersville’s fire department building on June 28.

Vice President Trace Dyer called the meeting to order. Club member Haylee Jones led the club in the pledges.

The club’s service project, Troop Boxes filled with snacks, is in progress. Several snack boxes were turned in. Remaining boxes need to be returned at the next meeting.

The following key dates were noted: July 12 is 4H meeting, July 18 is feeder calves tag-in, July 21 is project judging at Southern Hills Career and Technical Center, July 26 is 4H meeting, July 29-Aug. 9 is the Ohio State Fair, July 30 is chicken pick-up, Aug. 22 is small animal tag-in and Aug. 23 is 4H meeting.

Several club members provided project demonstrations. Ty Loudon gave a demonstration on gardening. Kaylee Loudon gave a demonstration on showing hogs. Taylor Neal gave a demonstration on home remedies for treating bee stings and sunburn.

The next meeting of the Hamersville Livestock 4H club will be 4 p.m. Sunday, July 12, at the Hamersville fire department building. Community service snack boxes are due at that meeting.
