Eastern to host track clinic

Eastern High School will hold a track and field clinic on Saturday, Aug. 8, featuring two graduates of the program who are now track and field head coaches themselves.

The clinic will take place from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Eastern High School, and all middle school and high school athletes, and their coaches are invited to participate.

The fee is $10 for Eastern High School athletes and $25 for athletes from other schools. Coaches accompanying their athletes will have free admission. Coaches attending on their own can attend for a $25 fee.

According to a flyer for the clinic from Eastern track and field head coach Mark Day, the clinic will begin with classroom learning before moving onto the track for instruction.

Emphasis will be given to the events most requested by the athletes.

There will also be a track and field question and answer session by a college head coach to prepare the middle and high school athletes for the recruiting process in case they are interested in continuing their careers at the next level.

Athletes interested in appearing on the track must sign a liability waiver prior to the camp, which can be obtained by contacting Mark Day at 513-509-7879 or activedc@maysvilleky.net. A copy of the waiver can be found below.

Below is a short biography of the two coaches hosting the clinic.
