West Union High School graduate James Sellars signs for Southern State Community College to play basketball for the Patriots.

West Union High School graduate James Sellars has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Southern State Community College.

“We are really excited that James decided to play for Southern State,” SSCC Men’s Basketball head coach Blake Kibler said in a statement. “He has played a lot inside, but he has the ability to shoot the three. James is very athletic and is exactly what we needed for our program.”

During his high school tenure, Sellars was a two-time Southern Hills Athletic Conference all-league player and earned honorable mention in district play. Per MaxPreps, in 16 games during his senior season, Sellars averaged 14. points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.4 blocks per game.
