A summer kids’ event, Everest VBS, will be hosted by Ripley Church of Christ, located 105 N. Third Street in Ripley. It will run from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. Sunday, June 14, to Friday, June 19.
At Everest VBS, kids discover what it means to hold on to God’s mighty power in everyday life. Kids participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience one-of-a-kind Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them of God’s love, and make crafts to take home. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them.
Each day concludes with a Summit Celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 9 p.m. Children who attend will be invited to a special “Summit Celebration Carnival” on Friday, June 19 which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to attend this special VBS closing event with their kids.
Kids at Everest VBS will join a missions effort to provide assistance to Nepal, India through Matthew 25 Ministries.
Everest is for kids from four to those just completing grade six and will run from 6:30 to 9:15 p.m. each day. For more information or for church van pick-up, call 937-392-1166.
